Event Videos (Dropbox and Google Drive)

You can add videos to your Event Microsite. Event Videos can be added to any tab on your microsite, including the Home, More Info, Agenda, Speakers, Venue and Custom tabs.

When adding a video to a tab such as the Home, More Info, Agenda and Speakers tabs, remember to provide content for these tabs for the tab to be visible. E.g. If you don’t define information in the More Information section on your Event/Function Details field, the More Info tab will not be visible on your microsite, and therefore your video will not be displayed.

Each Video source type has a unique method to applying the URL. Please see the table below.

To add one or many videos to your microsite,

• Click the More dropdown in your Event/Functions set up and click Related.

• Scroll down to Event Videos and click New.

  

  
  

  
  

• Complete the fields and provide the URL for your Video.

  • Select the Event/Function

  • Select which tab you would like the Video to be displayed on. If you choose to display your video on a Custom tab, you can either select an existing pre-created custom tab or create one on the go.

  • Choose the position of the Video whether it will be at the Top, above the page content, or at the Bottom, below the page content.

    • If you have multiple videos on the same tab, provide a sequence in which you would like your videos to be displayed. Each sequence is relative to the position provided.

  • Provide a Video Name, this will not be displayed on your microsite.

  • If you would like to provide a description for your video, you can do this in the Video Description text box.

    • Select whether you would like the Video Description to be positioned above or below the video.

  • Select the Video Source.

    • This could be YouTube, Google Drive or DropBox.

  • Provide the Video URL for your video.

    • Each Video source type has a specific method of URL application. Follow the steps prescribed below for the video source your video applies to.

Video Source	Method of application
DropBox	Make sure your video is available to the public in DropBox. Copy the whole DropBox URL Paste this into the URL field in your Event Videos. Remove the dl=0 from the end of the URL you have just pasted Type or Copy the following text and paste it to the end or the URL you have just pasted in the URL field: raw=1 Your URL should look something like this: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/qurwhy42w40kh5j54fo9n/DropBox-Video.mp4?rlkey=kmwcwi9mrlef5krwsjnzl6bsz&st=rknw520t&raw=1
Google Drive	Make sure your video is available to the public in Google Drive. While on your video, select the three dots on the top right and click “Embed”: Select and copy the text from after src=”, and before the last quptation mark as exampled below, and paste it into the “Video URL” field.

• Once you have completed the fields, click Save.
