Linking Delegates to Campaigns 

When you created the event, you selected whether you wanted to link delegates to a campaign and which campaign to link them to.



  • When a Delegate record meets the Add Delegate To Campaign criteria, the Delegate Campaign Member Status field is changed to Pending.

  • A batch job is run every hour to find these Delegate records with the Pending Status and add their linked Contacts and Leads to selected campaigns.

  • After the Campaign Sync Batch Job has run, the Campaign Member Status will be updated to Created.

  • If the Campaign Sync Batch Job Fails for the Delegate, the status will be updated to Failed and a high-level failure reason will be displayed in the field called Campaign Status Reason. Your System Admin will also receive an email and you can discuss with your System Admin how to resolve the issue.

  • Once the delegate has been linked to the campaign it can be viewed is a campaign member of your campaign as normal.

  • If the Campaign Sync Batch Job is not running, you will receive an error message on your Event Setup Progress Dashboard on your event page and the System Admin will be emailed.

Anyone with the Marketing rights can restart it so please get them to do this as soon as possible to ensure your leads are successfully and to resolve any failures
